Concrete Breaking FAQs
How much does concrete breaking cost?
Costs depend on the area size, concrete thickness, reinforcement, and access. A typical driveway (30-50sqm) costs £800-£2,000 including removal. We provide free site surveys and accurate quotes.
How long does it take to break up a concrete driveway?
Most domestic driveways can be broken up and removed in 1-2 days. Larger areas, thick concrete, or heavily reinforced sections may take longer. We'll provide a realistic timeline with your quote.
Can you break reinforced concrete?
Yes, we regularly break reinforced concrete including steel-mesh reinforced driveways and rebar-reinforced structural concrete. Reinforcement adds to the time and cost but doesn't prevent removal.
What happens to the broken concrete?
We remove all broken concrete from site. Much of it is recycled as aggregate for construction projects. This is more environmentally responsible than landfill disposal.
Will breaking concrete damage my property?
We take great care to protect adjacent structures, drainage, and services. Before starting, we survey the site to identify any underground services and plan our approach accordingly.
Do you level the ground afterwards?
Yes, we can level and grade the exposed ground ready for new surfaces. This is typically included in our quotes unless you specify otherwise.
