Full Removal

Partial Fill (Infill)

May settle over time

The Removal Process
1. Drain the Pool
Pool water must be properly disposed of (not into storm drains).
2. Disconnect Services
Electrical, plumbing, and any gas connections safely disconnected.
3. Demolition
Pool shell broken up. For partial fill, walls knocked inward; for full removal, complete excavation.
4. Drainage
Holes drilled in pool bottom for proper water drainage to prevent pooling.
5. Backfill & Compact
Area filled with clean rubble and topsoil, compacted in layers to prevent settling.
Important Considerations
Planning Permission
You generally don't need planning permission to fill in a pool. However, check with your local authority, especially in Conservation Areas.
Property Disclosure
If you partially fill a pool and later sell your property, you must disclose this to buyers. A full removal with proper documentation may not require disclosure.
We provide completion certificates and documentation for all pool removal projects.
